Dr Lisa Richardson is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience in the public health and forensic environments and private sectors.  She has been working part-time in private practice for the last 10 years at various locations around Perth and recently commenced at West Leederville. In addition to her Private Practice work, she works as Senior Clinical Psychologist for the South Metropolitan Older Adult Mental Health Service and with the Community Forensic Mental Health Service at Graylands Hospital.  Lisa works as an adjunct lecturer in the Murdoch Postgraduate Psychology programme and is a Board Approved Supervisor and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.  

Lisa works with clients aged 18-100 with a range of needs and issues including depression and anxiety, complex trauma, voice hearing, adjustment, grief & loss, relationship & interpersonal issues.  She uses an integrative approach to providing personalised interventions that can incorporate neuropsychotherapy, schema therapy, psychodynamic work, dialectical and cognitive behaviour therapy. Lisa is also experienced at conducting cognitive assessments for dementia and provides telepsychology services to FIFO and rural and remote clients.

Lisa completed her PhD in Clinical 2012 which involved a long-term investigation into the use of videoconference telepsychology as a community based clinical psychology service. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 2007 to further investigate the use of telepsychology in the US. She has published in a range of clinical areas including PTSD in Military populations, older adult mental and physical health, post-disaster mental health and telepsychology, and is a reviewer for a number of international journals.

Lisa offers training programs and education to facilities, individuals, health professionals and students in the area of post-military service adjustment, managing challenging behaviours in the aged, successful retirement, Telepsychology, and Aging Aboriginal mental health, post-critical incident support, and workplace mental health first-aid.
